For the Nilesat Central Monitoring Center we delivered and integrated the display subsystem, incorporating multiple sonoVTS HDQLINE displays. These displays provide colour calibration, a no-fan design to limit noise impact, central video wall control, and dynamic and static IMD (Internal Monitor Display) via ethernet connectivity. In addition to the displays we provided the video wall, which was designed and built by our manufacturing department. The receiving subsystem is capable of decoding and carrying TV services in SD/HD/4K as well as radio services.

tpc, Switzerland (ongoing)

sonoVTS will complete the design and build of a new 24-camera UHD broadcasting vehicle for tpc. Wishing to deploy a SMPTE 2110 IP-standard, tpc decided to use Imagine Communications’ IP-based distribution core, processing and multiviewer technology. The new truck will be the first in the industry to fully support uncompressed HD and UHD signals over IP. All signal processing is accomplished in uncompressed UHD by network processors that have been adapted to the IP-backbone with dual 100Gb/s Ethernet connectivity. sonoVTS designed and installed a total of 24 UHD workstations for the UHD trailer, which a total length of 16.5 meters, width of 4.5 meters, and an overall weight of 40 tons when fully assembled with four extensions. The project covers the planning, system design, body and vehicle construction, interior design and construction, and the installation of electronics and air-conditioning as well as system integration.

Uppercut, Austria (ongoing)

sonoVTS is building a new HD broadcasting van for the Austrian multimedia consortium UPPERCUT. As of 2018, the new, eight camera technological UPPERCUT flagship will be used, among other things, for the productions of sports, politics, and cultural broadcasts for major European TV stations.

G20 Summit, Hamburg ( 06/2017 – 07/2017)

On the 23rd floor of the Scandic Hamburg Emporio - specifically rented by host broadcaster ARD for coverage of the 2017 G20 Hamburg summit – sonoVTS installed two studio sets with corresponding production and equipment rooms for the worldfeed production, plus national reporting facilities for ARD and NDR.

Planning, construction, integration and operation of 3 SNG vehicles. The project included vehicle construction, video, audio, control, IT broadcast, mechanics, audio, air conditioning and electrical engineering as well as room concept. Delivery and integration of entire video, audio, communications, satellite technology and air conditioning took place.The vehicle’s base, a Mercedes Sprinter, was equipped with additional air suspension and axis in order to obtain licensing with a permissible total weight of 7.5 tons. The equipment included a 15kVA built in power unit as well as a power take-off (PTO).Three camera systems have been integrated with a basis station, where one can be used as a cable less system. Comprehensive monitoring was provided with eight sonoVTS displays.

Planning, construction and commissioning of a TV compact OB truck with SNG technology for up to date coverage. The TV compact OB truck is based of a flatbed chassis with a trunk and an overall weight of 7490 kg.The SNG OB truck, is equipped with a 1,8m KU-Band Rx/Tx antenna system with auto pointing.The entire vehicle is equipped with a USV system in order to have off the line coverage of at least 60 minutes.The project covered the body- and interior construction, the air conditioning, the electrical engineering and the implementation of the audio, command, video and IT components.

Detailed planning, construction and commissioning of all 12 ERC (equipment room container).
